The People’s Action for Accountability and Good Governance in Zambia (PAAGZ) conducted a Youth Debate on Youth Day 12th March 2022.The debate focused on the social, political and economic challenges that young people in the country are faced with. A lack of access to employment, income, freedom and other basic needs.
During the debate, it was revealed that these challenges have significantly impacted their mental health.In the recent past, the country has seen an increase in the number of suicide cases especially among young people .There’s lack of safe spaces for young people to have conversations around their mental health and wellbeing.
