STATE of the ARTS! Two Creative Shows: One Creative Movement! đźŽđź”Ą
As part of our ongoing PANAF Talks project and our wider Creative Advocacy for Artistic Rights Campaign, We are excited to introduce a brand-new satirical series and a Humerous Drama Skits dubbed: State of the Arts!
These are a dynamic fusion of satire, drama, and creative activism. Get ready for bold, clever, and unapologetically creative takes on Zambia’s cultural and governance landscape!
🎨 Why “State of the Arts”?
The title carries a deliberate double meaning:
👉🏾 A reflection on the State of Zambia’s creative sector
👉🏾 An artistic lens on the State of national affairs, governance, and human rights
🎙️ 1. STATE of the ARTS! The Satirical Series (Roasts)
Hosted by the brilliant and daring Ackim Chibale, this punchy, fast-paced series delivers sharp roasts inspired by real-time news. Episodes will entertain, educate, challenge the status quo using humour and artistic expression spotlighting issues around human rights, governance, and fundamental freedoms.
🎠2. STATE of the ARTS! The Drama Skits!
Performed by Kanyama Vines, these humorous yet thought-provoking skits dramatize and tackle relatable stories about artists’ struggles with speaking truth to power, censorship, lack of funding, and freedom of expression.
Join us as we continue to push for a Zambia where artistic freedom is protected, celebrated, and used to shape a more accountable society.
